Biswanath Dutta, Father of Narendranath Dutta.

Naren's father traveled to central and northern India in connection with his work. In 1877 when Naren was fourteen years old, his father went to Raipur in the Central Provinces. Knowing that he had to live there for an extended time he had his family brought there shortly.Raipur was connected by Railway then , travelers had to go by slow-moving bullock-cartsfor more than two weeks along narrow forest paths cut through the dense tropical forests of central India.  Naren as eldest son was responsible for the manly duty of of protecting and guarding his family as they journeyed there. he recalled an experience hhe had while traveling along the bullock cart.
Viswanath Dutta quitely penned a novel, "Sulochana" . The book hidden from the public eye for 125 years , was recently discovered from a foreign libraryby noted Bengali writer, Shankar, and was formerly released two weeks back.
He wrote the novel in 1882and published in the name of a cousin - Gopal Chandra Datta- and remained in oblivion for more than a century. This book was written even before Anandamath was written. From the literary point of view Sulochana is unique. it is to some extent autobiographical. The central character Ramhari Basu bears an uncanny resemblance to Biswanath. Biswanath had used his cousin's name because he had sold the rights to Gopal chandra .
